3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates activated outfielder Anthony Alford (wrist) from the 10-day injured list on Friday. In a corresponding move, infielder Hoy Park was optioned to Triple-A. Alford suffered a right wrist sprain during Spring Training and began the season on the injured list. While rehabbing the injury, he played five games at Triple-A and went 5-for-15 with three home runs. The 27-year-old should see a good amount of playing time this year. Last season, he appeared in 49 games for the Pirates and slashed .233/.311/.406 with five home runs, five stolen bases, 11 RBI and 14 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
