Garrett Cooper Injured Saturday
3 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper (elbow) left the game early on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies with a left elbow contusion. Cooper was injured when he collided with teammate Jon Berti during a rundown attempt. He initially stayed in the game, but was eventually removed from the contest. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time, but fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if the 31-year-old is held out on Sunday as a precaution. Miguel Rojas moved from shortstop to first base after Cooper's injury. Cooper was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in the game before departing, and he's hitting .280 (7-for-25) with a homer, two RBI and three runs scored in his first seven games of the season.
