Blake Snell Placed On Injured List With Adductor Tightness
3 years agoThe San Diego Padres have placed starting pitcher Blake Snell (adductor) on the 10-day injured list with left adductor tightness. The 29-year-old veteran was scratched from his first start of the year and he will now be out for at least another week and a half, potentially longer. The Padres are calling up the team's top pitching prospect, MacKenzie Gore, to take Snell's spot in the rotation. Gore will make his MLB debut on Friday. Snell struggled in his first year with the Padres last year, pitching to a 4.20 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP over 27 starts. However, he should remain rostered in all fantasy formats as his upside makes him well worthy of stashing in an IL spot.
