Zac Gallen Has His Tuesday Start Pushed Back
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen (thumb) has been scratched from his scheduled start against the Houston Astros on Tuesday. He has a small cut on his thumb. According to Diamondbacks beat writer Nick Piecoro, Gallen should be able to make his season debut this coming weekend against the New York Mets. Madison Bumgarner is being moved up a day to pitch in Tuesday's game. Gallen made 23 starts for the D-backs last year and went 4-10 with a 4.30 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. While it's frustrating to see his first start pushed back, the injury certainly doesn't sound like anything that should cause fantasy owners to panic about.
