Ray-Ray McCloud Signs With 49ers
3 years agoFree-agent wide receiver/return specialist Ray-Ray McCloud signed an undisclosed two-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, according to a source. McCloud led the NFL in punt-return yards (367) and also caught 39 passes for 277 yards on 66 targets in 16 games (five starts) for the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. The 25-year-old is likely to be used more on special teams in San Francisco, as he'll be behind receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk and tight end George Kittle on the depth chart. McCloud is probably only worth a look in fantasy drafts in leagues that give points for return yardage. In 2020, he had 20 catches for 77 yards on 22 targets in 16 games (two starts) for the Steelers.
