1 min agoNew York Yankees utility player Jon Berti (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Sunday. Berti was placed on the injured list two weeks ago with a left groin strain. The 34-year-old will begin a rehab assignment on Sunday and could be activated from the injured list as soon as next week. He is slashing .211/.250/.211 with an RBI and two runs scored over six games in 2024. Berti qualifies at second base, third base, shortstop, and outfield in most leagues but is mainly a fantasy option in AL-Only or deep-league formats when he returns from the injured list.Source: Bryan Hoch
7 mins agoDenver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray scored 22 points in Saturday's loss to the Lakers. He added six rebounds, five assists, and one block. While Murray had his third 22-point effort in this series, he struggled mightily shooting the ball, going 9-for-23 from the field while missing all four tries from deep. Shoddy percentages have been a theme for the 27-year-old throughout the conference quarterfinals. However, DFS managers should expect him to be on the floor as much as possible in Game 5 on Monday night. He'll also remain heavily involved offensively.Source: ESPN
12 mins agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI during Saturday's 5-1 win over the San Diego Padres. Bohm extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a two-run shot off Padres right-hander Dylan Cease during the top of the first inning. He added a two-run single in the fifth inning, giving him four RBI total on Saturday. The 27-year-old's 11-game hitting streak is the longest active in MLB. He is slashing .354/.434/.596 with four home runs, 26 RBI, 14 runs, and a stolen base over 28 games in 2024. Bohm will look to extend his streak to 12 games on Sunday and is a must-start in all league formats while he's wielding a hot bat.Source: MLB
13 mins agoLos Angeles Lakers forward/center Anthony Davis (wrist) was questionable heading into Saturday's matchup with the Nuggets. However, he was available. Not only that, but the 31-year-old had a massive 25-point, 23-rebound double-double with six assists and one block. AD has looked good during the series with Denver, averaging 30.5 points, 15.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks. The Lakers managed to stave off elimination, meaning Davis will have another chance to make a difference for DFS managers in Game 5 on Monday night.Source: ESPN
19 mins agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) scored a team-high 30 points in Saturday's win over the Nuggets. He added five rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. With the Lakers facing elimination, James led his team to a much-needed win in Game 4. Granted, it will be tough for Los Angeles to take the series. But James, averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals in the conference quarterfinals, can't take any of the blame. Game 5 is on Monday night, and DFS managers will likely see James on the injury report because of his ankle injury. However, he should be out there and deserves consideration for all DFS contests.Source: ESPN
22 mins agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez (5-0) allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out eight over eight innings in Saturday's 5-1 win over the San Diego Padres. Suarez was brilliant on Saturday and picked up his fifth win of the season. The 28-year-old's scoreless inning streak ended at 25 after he surrendered a solo shot to Eguy Rosario in the eighth inning. His breakout season continues as Suarez owns a 1.32 ERA, 0.63 WHIP, and 40 strikeouts over 41 innings in 2024. Suarez will look to continue his impressive season in his next start at home against the San Francisco Giants.Source: MLB
26 mins agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic had a triple-double in the Game 4 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The multi-time MVP had 33 points, shooting 10-for-20 from the field while draining all 11 free throw tries, adding 14 rebounds and 14 assists. While his efforts weren't enough, the Lakers still have an uphill climb to get back into this series. With that said, Jokic has arguably had the best postseason out of anyone, averaging 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. As usual, expect the 29-year-old to see plenty of attention from DFS managers for Game 5 on Monday night.Source: ESPN
35 mins agoCincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson (hand) was removed from Saturday's game against the Texas Rangers for precautionary reasons. Stephenson was hit in the right hand by a pitch and replaced in the game by Luke Maile. The 27-year-old went 1-for-2 with a run scored before being removed. According to Reds manager David Bell, the removal of Stephenson was precautionary. Stephenson avoided a severe injury and could be back for Sunday's series finale against the Rangers. He is slashing .231/.338/.415 with three home runs, 10 RBI, 12 runs, and a stolen base over 23 games in 2024. Stephenson is expected to be fine and solid fantasy option in two-catcher formats.Source: Gordon Wittenmyer
43 mins agoMiami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (knee) didn't suit up for Saturday's loss to Boston. According to Butler, while speaking with TNT's Chris Haynes during Game 3, he remains without a return timeline. The 34-year-old is dealing with a sprained knee suffered during the Play-In, and with Miami down in this series, DFS managers may not see him back on the floor until next season. Terry Rozier (neck) is also sidelined, so Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo will remain the team's preferred offensive options. However, the recent play of Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez Jr. is at least something positive from Butler's absence, with the duo expected to stay heavily involved moving forward.Source: Barry Jacks
53 mins agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi went 3-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI during Saturday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Benintendi blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning to tie the game 3-3. He later logged an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the Sox up 6-4. Benintendi blasted the walk-off two-run shot in the bottom of the tenth inning, sending the White Sox to victory. The 29-year-old is slashing .191/.224/.277 with two home runs and 10 RBI over 24 games in 2024. Despite the breakout performance, Benintendi is mainly an option in deep-league formats.Source: MLB
1 hour agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Matt Brash (elbow) has been shut down after having a setback with his right elbow while playing catch Friday. He will head to Dallas to see Dr. Meister to evaluate his injured elbow further. Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said he is "concerned" about the latest setback for Brash. The 25-year-old is considered day-to-day, but the latest news is that his rehab assignment has been paused. Brash had been sidelined all season after landing on the injured list with inflammation on his right elbow. Andres Munoz will remain Seattle's primary closer, while Ryne Stanek will handle high-leverage situations with Brash sidelined.Source: Shannon Drayer
1 hour agoChicago Cubs left-hander Jordan Wicks (forearm) will not start in Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox due to left forearm tightness. Wicks picked up the injury after his last start between Saturday and his previous start on Tuesday. The 24-year-old is considered day-to-day and will miss at least one start. Hayden Wesneski will replace Wicks on Sunday. Wesneski owns a 0.16 WHIP and a 3:0 K: BB across 6 1/3 innings in 2024. The Red Sox offense just put up 17 runs on the Cubs and is firing on all cylinders heading into the series finale, making Wesneski a risky fantasy streamer or DFS play on Sunday.Source: Taylor McGregor
2 hours agoBoston Red Sox infielder Ceddanne Rafaela went 4-for-4 with a home run, seven RBI, and a stolen base in Saturday's 17-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Rafaela had a career performance on Saturday by driving in seven runs in Saturday's rout over Chicago. The 23-year-old had a sacrifice fly for his first RBI of the game. He smashed a three-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning and capped it off with a three-run shot in the bottom of the eighth frame. Rafaela is slashing .191/..225/.351 with two home runs, 17 RBI, 14 runs, and four stolen bases over 28 games in 2024. Rafaela will look to build on his performance in the series finale, and he has plenty of fantasy upside to be added to most leagues.Source: MLB
2 hours agoArizona Diamondbacks right-hander Paul Sewald (oblique) will have his rehab slowed a bit due to soreness. He was scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday but was scrapped after feeling soreness during a rehab stint with Triple-A Reno. The 33-year-old has been sidelined all season with a strained left oblique. He was on track to return from the injured list soon, but Sewald needs more time to recover from his oblique strain. Kevin Ginkel will continue to be Arizona's primary closer while Sewald is sidelined. Ginkel has been solid handling ninth-inning duties for the D-Backs, converting 4-of-6 saves while posting a 3.48 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and an 11:2 K: BB across 10 1/3 innings.Source: Jody Jackson
2 hours agoPhoenix Suns forward Grayson Allen (ankle) is questionable heading into Sunday's pivotal matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Allen tweaked his ankle twice during this series, keeping him off the floor for Game 3. Royce O'Neale got the start in that one. However, it was Eric Gordon who benefitted the most, finishing with 11 points, three assists, three steals, and one block in 34 minutes. If Allen misses another contest, Gordon has DFS value potential written all over him. But fantasy managers shouldn't dismiss O'Neale, either.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 hours agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson (hip) is questionable for Sunday's postseason clash with the Phoenix Suns. The veteran is dealing with a hip pointer. While Anderson carried an injury designation heading into Game 3, he was still out there, although he had just two points in eight minutes. The 30-year-old likely won't see much action in Game 4 if he suits up, considering Naz Reid and Nickeil Alexander-Walker have absorbed most of the bench minutes. As a result, Anderson is irrelevant for DFS purposes on Sunday.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 hours agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton (ankle) is probable for the playoff matchup with the Pacers on Sunday. The veteran was questionable heading into Game 3 because of an ankle injury. While the Bucks lost that one in overtime, DFS managers still appreciated Middleton's game-high 42 points. Milwaukee is in trouble, with Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Damian Lillard (Achilles) unlikely to play. As a result, Middleton is a lock for all DFS contests, although he'll be a popular option.Source: NBA Injury Report
5 hours agoMilwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (Achilles) isn't expected to play on Sunday against Indiana. Lillard has been on a roll during the series. Unfortunately, he tweaked his Achilles during the overtime loss to the Pacers on Friday night. The former Trail Blazer is now in a walking boot, so there's a chance he won't be back for the rest of the playoffs. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) also doubtful, Khris Middleton (ankle), assuming he plays, could get most of the scoring opportunities. Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, Pat Connaughton, and Patrick Beverley should also get more involved.Source: NBA Injury Report
5 hours agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's postseason matchup with Indiana. Head coach Doc Rivers doesn't expect the multi-time MVP to be out there for Game 4. Even worse, Damian Lillard (Achilles), now in a walking boot, is also anticipated to miss Sunday's game. Fortunately, Khris Middleton (ankle) is probable, so he should get most of the scoring opportunities if Lillard and Antetokounmpo aren't available. In addition, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, Patrick Beverley, and Brook Lopez could also see an uptick in fantasy production.Source: NBA Injury Report
5 hours agoThe Boston Red Sox, who earlier today acquired veteran infielder Garrett Cooper from the Chicago Cubs, have moved slugging first baseman Triston Casas (ribs) to the 60-day IL. This was done to make room on the 40-man roster for Cooper. Casas was diagnosed with a painful cartilage tear in his left ribcage Friday. The designation to the 60-day IL means Casas will miss at least two months of the season. He reported that he was having difficulty breathing due to the injury. Casas had been off to a good start at the plate, hitting .244 with six home runs and 10 RBI. Cooper figures to take over as the everyday first baseman in Boston while relegating Bobby Dalbec to the bench.Source: Boston Red Sox
5 hours agoDallas Mavericks guard/forward Tim Hardaway Jr. (ankle) isn't expected to meet the Clippers on Sunday. The veteran sharpshooter tweaked his ankle in Game 2 and wasn't available for Friday's win. However, Hardaway hasn't been a reliable fantasy option during this series, averaging three points and two rebounds. It's hard to imagine he'll be any more productive if he's cleared to suit up for Game 4. If anything, Hardaway missing Sunday's contest would open up minutes for Josh Green, who would see value interest from DFS managers after amassing eight points, five rebounds, and one steal in Game 3.Source: NBA Injury Report
5 hours agoVeteran middle infielder Thairo Estrada (hamstring) reenters the lineup Saturday night for the San Francisco Giants, batting eighth and playing second base against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Estrada was forced out of the game on Wednesday night with hamstring tightness and missed Friday night with the aforementioned Pirates. Estrada is hitting .252 with three home runs and 12 RBI this season and is 4-for-16 with three runs in his last five games for the Giants. It appears Estrada has avoided serious injury by maintaining his spot in the lineup tonight.Source: Susan Slusser on X
5 hours agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) is questionable for Sunday's postseason showdown with Dallas. After missing the end of the regular season and the series opener because of knee inflammation, Leonard finally returned for Game 2. He played well in that one, so most had assumed he was feeling better. However, the veteran logged just 25 minutes in Game 3 to finish with nine points and nine rebounds. As with any of Leonard's injuries through the years, his current knee issue is something to monitor, considering it could keep him off the floor for the rest of the playoffs. At any rate, if Leonard is ruled out, James Harden and Paul George would be the favorites to benefit on the scoring end. In addition, guys like Russell Westbrook and Norman Powell would automatically draw attention from DFS managers.Source: NBA Injury Report
5 hours agoThe Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby from AHL Manitoba and he appeared in the team's morning skate on Saturday. No corresponding move was announced. The 26-year-old flew in immediately to Colorado from Texas where he had been taking on the Texas Stars in the AHL playoffs. Jonsson-Fjallby skated in 26 games with the Jets this season, tallying two goals and five points in that time. He was far from productive with Manitoba where he recorded 12 goals and 30 points across 41 contests. The Jets trail the Avalanche 2-1 in their best-of-seven first-round series after dropping a 6-2 decision Friday.Source: Murat Ates
5 hours agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Evan Phillips earned his eighth save Saturday afternoon in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Phillips surrendered a hit and unearned run in the ninth inning to go along with two strikeouts. In 12 games this year, the veteran relief pitcher has eight saves, a .77 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts in 11 innings. He is striking out 29.5% of batters while limiting opponents to an 83.7 MPH average exit velocity, which is the 96th percentile in all of MLB. Phillips has surrendered only one earned run in nine April appearances. Continue to use him with confidence in all fantasy formats.Source: https://www.mlb.com/dodgers
5 hours agoDallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (knee) is questionable for Sunday's playoff battle with the Clippers. He's back on the injury report because of knee soreness. However, Doncic has been known to sustain minor ailments over the years, so it's hard to imagine he'll miss Game 4. The 25-year-old has struggled shooting the ball recently. However, he has still averaged 29.0 points, 9.7 boards, 8.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in this series. DFS managers should expect Doncic to see north of 40 minutes in Game 4, assuming the contest stays close, with the 25-year-old having the potential to finish as the highest-producing fantasy option on Sunday's slate.Source: NBA Injury Report
5 hours agoOn Saturday afternoon, Bubba Wallace qualified 16th for Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Despite high expectations heading into last week's race at Talladega, the eight-year Cup veteran made contact with Erik Jones on lap 154 of the 188-lap race, ending the day for both drivers. While 2024 has been a strong season for the 23XI superstar, as he already has three appearances in the DraftKings optimal lineup, it is unlikely that he will add to this total on Sunday. Despite finishing 12th at this track last season, his average DraftKings score in the Next Gen car at this venue is just 34.40 points, which ranks him 16th in the Cup Series. With no top 10s and an average finish of 20.2 in nine Cup starts at "The Monster Mile," Wallace is nothing more than a contrarian play, a driver you will want to limit your exposure to in DFS this weekend.

5 hours agoRyan Preece will start 28th in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. On Saturday, Preece was largely underwhelming as he was only able to produce the 20th fastest time in practice (22.839), a time that ranked ninth among the Fords. What makes this time particularly interesting is that he was only on the track for 12 laps during practice, which was the second-fewest of anyone in the field. Given that his car was not strong, it makes you wonder why he limited himself to such few laps during practice. While drivers will sometimes limit themselves in practice in order to save something for qualifying, this does not appear to be what Preece was doing as he was just .327 faster in the qualifying session. Considering he has no top-10 finishes in seven Cup starts at this track, and that his average DraftKings score is 22.90 in the two starts in the Next Gen car here, we recommend limiting your exposure to the No. 41 in DFS this weekend. 5 hours agoToronto Maple Leafs winger Bobby McMann is processing well with his lower-body injury and the team hopes to see him back on the ice soon, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. McMann hasn't appeared in a game since April 13 when he left a contest against the Detroit Red Wings early after getting hurt while clearing the puck shorthanded. Following a sluggish start, McMann enjoyed a nice season half to his season, tallying 13 goals over his final 33 games after recording just two goals through his first 23 contests. All told, the 27-year-old recorded 15 goals and 24 points across 56 games as part of his 11:34 of average ice time per game.Source: David Alter
5 hours agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Knicks. The injury report is misleading, considering Embiid is nearly guaranteed to be on the court for Game 4. Not only that, he's coming off a strong performance, amassing 50 points in Thursday's win over New York. While the 30-year-old is also battling Bell's Palsy, he guaranteed the Sixers would win this series. As a result, Embiid should be aggressive on both sides of the floor on Sunday afternoon.Source: NBA Injury Report
