1 year agoThe Baltimore Orioles placed first baseman Ryan Mountcastle (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with left-shoulder soreness and recalled outfielder Ryan McKenna from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Mountcastle had missed the last seven games, so the injured-list move was backdated to Sunday, meaning he is eligible to return a week from Wednesday on Sept. 27 against the Washington Nationals. The 26-year-old will not be able to help fantasy managers much the rest of the way. Baltimore's primary concern is to have him back healthy for the start of the postseason. In the meantime, expect Ryan O'Hearn to see most of the starts at the cold corner for the O's.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
