5 days agoDespite allowing touchdowns on the first two possessions, the Arizona Cardinals defense tightened up, surrendering only one more Detroit Lions touchdown for the remainder of the game. The Cardinal's defense recorded two sacks and one interception but allowed 373 yards of total offense in Sunday's 20-13 loss. While it wasn't a strong fantasy performance—finishing with just three points—their second-half effort is something they can build on. The Cardinals kept the Lions scoreless in the second half, and although they struggled against the run, they made key stops in crucial moments. With the Washington Commanders traveling to Arizona for Week 4, the Cardinals' defense could be a potential waiver wire target.Source: ESPN.com
5 days agoNew York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson was a reliable target in Sunday's 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns, showing his consistency in the passing game. Robinson hauled in seven of his eight targets for 61 yards, averaging 8.7 yards per reception, with his longest catch going for 28 yards. Though he didn't score a touchdown, his steady volume and efficiency make him a valuable asset in PPR formats. With his high target share and ability to generate yards after the catch, Robinson is emerging as a dependable WR3 or flex option in fantasy football, especially in matchups where short-yardage work is key.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoNew York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers delivered another standout performance in Sunday's 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns, contributing across multiple areas. Nabers caught eight of his 12 targets for 78 yards, averaging 9.8 yards per catch, including a reception of 28 yards. He also added two rushing attempts for four yards, showcasing his versatility usage as a runner. He also added two touchdowns, displaying that he is already a red-zone favorite of Daniel Jones. With heavy involvement in the offense and red-zone production, Nabers continues to solidify himself as a WR1 for fantasy managers, particularly with his strong target share and ability to score touchdowns.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Isaac Guerendo saw the first meaningful playing time of his career in a 27-24 loss to the Rams in Los Angeles on Sunday. The fourth-round pick out of Louisville entered with one carry for no gain through two games but took the ball five times for 19 yards in Week 3. It's conceivable that Guerendo's involvement could increase further in the next few weeks but it's very unlikely that he'll become startable in fantasy as long as Jordan Mason is healthy while filling in for Christian McCaffrey (Achilles). Head coach Kyle Shanahan has seemed to prefer a backfield bell cow situation throughout his tenure in San Francisco so Guerendo is a worthy stash in redraft formats as the next man up while McCaffrey is out in case of a Mason injury, but nothing more. Guerendo and the 49ers get the New England Patriots at home in Week 4.Source: ESPN.COM
5 days agoNew York Giants running back Devin Singletary made a significant impact in Sunday's 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns, despite some ups and downs. Singletary rushed for 65 yards on 16 carries, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt, including a 43-yard burst that displayed his breakaway ability. He also contributed in the passing game with four receptions for 43 yards but failed to score through the air. However, a costly lost fumble dampened his otherwise strong performance. Singletary's dual-threat ability and usage in both the run and pass game make him a solid RB2 option in fantasy, though ball security remains a concern.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoDallas Cowboys receiver Brandin Cooks did not have a productive day in the 28-25 loss to Baltimore. The veteran receiver was targeted six times, but only caught two balls for 16 yards. Cooks has now recorded back-to-back disappointing performances and is falling off of the fantasy radar. With that being said, he still holds an every-down role in a high-volume passing offense. The 30-year-old will be back in action on Thursday against the New York Giants.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoArizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater continued his perfect season, converting all three of his kicks in the Week 3 loss to the Lions. Prater nailed two field goals from 40+ yards (42, 45) and made his only extra point attempt. The 40-year-old is a perfect 6-for-6 in field goal attempts and 8-for-8 in extra-point tries over three games in 2024. Despite the Cardinals' offensive struggles, Prater's consistency has been a bright spot, making him an emerging solid fantasy option. The Cardinals face the Commanders in Week 4. Fantasy managers can use Prater as a streamer in a projected high-scoring affair versus the Commanders on Sunday.Source: ESPN.com
5 days agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones played an efficient game in Sunday's 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns, managing the offense well without any interceptions. Jones completed 24 of 34 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 6.9 yards per attempt. Though he didn't find the end zone on the ground, he added 20 rushing yards, using his mobility to extend plays despite being sacked twice. His clean performance, highlighted by zero interceptions, boosts his fantasy value as a dependable QB2, particularly in matchups where he can take advantage of weaker secondaries. The Giants face the Cowboys this Thursday in a huge inter-divisional game. Both teams are 1-2.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoDallas Cowboys receiver Jalen Tolbert was involved in the offense again on Sunday in the 28-25 loss to Baltimore. Tolbert saw five targets come his way in the comeback attempt. The 2022 third-round pick secured three receptions for 45 yards and his first touchdown of the season. Tolbert split time as Dallas' third receiver with returner KaVontae Turpin and second-year Jalen Brooks. He is an intriguing stash in fantasy, but cannot be trusted in lineups as of right now.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoDallas Cowboys receiver KaVontae Turpin saw involvement in the passing game in Sunday's loss to Baltimore. Primarily a return man, the speedy TCU product caught all three of his targets for 51 yards and a touchdown. In an offense looking for a consistent third option in the passing game behind CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson, Turpin's performance was encouraging for Dallas. That being said, he remains firmly off of the fantasy radar until he sees more consistent usage.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoDallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb had a below-par day in the 28-25 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Lamb was targeted seven times, securing four catches for 67 yards. The 25-year-old lost a fumble deep into Baltimore territory in the first quarter, which ended up leading to a big Baltimore lead early on in the game. Lamb will look to put together a stronger fantasy performance on Thursday with a quick turnaround against the New York Giants.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoDallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson returned to the lineup on Sunday after a one-week absence. His impact was instantly felt, as he led the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards in the loss to Baltimore. Ferguson was targeted 11 times, securing six catches for 95 yards. With how poor tight end play has been this season, Ferguson's outing was encouraging for fantasy managers. He should remain a top option at the position going into Thursday night's game with the New York Giants.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason returned to earth in a 27-24 loss to the Rams in Los Angeles on Sunday. He took 19 carries for 77 yards and caught both of his two targets for 11 yards receiving. As the stat line suggests, Mason wasn't bad in this one but failed to find the end zone for the first time this year, limiting his fantasy day. In the first two games of 2024, Mason completely dominated the running back touches but rookie Isaac Guerendo cut into his workload with five carries of his own for 19 yards against LA. It wasn't the RB1 performance that fantasy managers were looking for in Week 3 but Mason didn't look bad. There could come a time while Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) is out that Guerendo becomes even more involved, but it doesn't appear to be a worry just yet. Mason will resume his bell-cow role when the 49ers host the New England Patriots next Sunday.Source: ESPN.COM
5 days agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was seldom used in the Week 3 loss. Given that his role is more of an early-down grinder type of back at this stage in his career, the game script was not favorable for Elliott today as Dallas was playing from behind all game. He rushed three times for six yards and caught a pass for six yards. Elliott and the Cowboys have a tight turnaround, as they will suit up on Thursday against the Giants.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoDallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle saw the bulk of the backfield work in Week 3's loss to Baltimore. Dowdle rushed eight times for 32 yards, accounting for 62% of the team's rushing yards. He was targeted five times in the heavy-volume passing attack, catching three passes for 24 yards. Dowdle outplayed Ezekiel Elliott in the loss, although both backs will likely see similar usage moving forward. The Cowboys have a short week, as they take on the New York Giants on Thursday.Source: RotoBaller
