Giants Signing Tommy Sweeney
2 years agoThe New York Giants are signing free-agent tight end Tommy Sweeney to an undisclosed deal on Thursday, according to a source. Sweeney is a former seventh-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2019 out of Boston College, and he spent the last three seasons playing for the Bills, where he totaled 18 catches on 26 targets for 165 yards and one touchdown in 24 games (four starts). The 27-year-old will provide the Giants with some depth at the position behind recently acquired Darren Waller and Daniel Bellinger. The G-Men also have tight ends Lawrence Cager and Chris Myarick on their current roster. Sweeney will be far from the fantasy radar in 2023.
