Andy Dalton Will Start On Thanksgiving
3 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton will officially make the start for the Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday. Rookie first-rounder Justin Fields suffered bruised ribs in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will need more time to heal. Dalton replaced Fields on Sunday and immediately gave the offense a spark, going 11-for-23 for 201 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in less than a full half of work in the narrow loss. The 34-year-old veteran surely doesn't offer as much fantasy upside as Fields with his legs, but the Red Rifle could be a decent QB2 streamer in superflex leagues against a winless Lions team that is allowing 27.3 points per game, third-most in the NFL.
