The first three days of this tournament have lived up to the bill of excitement. Low level seeds are making a name for themselves and top seeds are letting many people down. This is the case every year though, so this should surprise no one. However, I will say the Michigan State loss was probably the craziest loss I've ever seen in an NCAA tournament before. These game will continue to entertain and if your not watching them, then I don't know what to tell you.
The slate is obviously half the size from a few days back, but there are options to seek out here. Some names may seem like a repeat from Friday, but this time of year you want to stick to the same guys that you've trusted throughout the season, while also looking for talented guys on the price decline. This slate does offer some good prices all around for multiple players, so stars and scrubs may a good route to look into.
So without further delay, below are our favorite Daily Fantasy College Basketball picks for FanDuel DFS games on March, 20th 2016.
CBB DFS Guards to Target on FanDuel
Top Play: Thomas Walkup, Stephen F. Austin ($10,100)
Stephen F. Austin was a team that some experts had thought would upset West Virginia, and they were spot on. The catalyst behind that upset was Thomas Walkup and his 33 points. Thomas Walkup has ridiculous peripherals on the season, and actually rarely played more than 30 minutes because they blowout everyone. Well, now he is rarely going to leave the court and this is just as good a match-up against Notre Dame here. Walkup should be able to pile up assists here along with his scoring, and while I don't expect him to come close to his Thursday production, he should be able to do just fine against a suspect defense in Notre Dame.
Mid Tier: Malachi Richardson, Syracuse ($6,600)
Middle Tennessee shocked the world when they beat Michigan State, but we cannot forget that they are still Middle Tennessee State. I would have to see this happen again to believe they are for real, because they literally shot the game of their lives. I think Richardson is in a good spot here, and his price is right. He offers good peripherals and may be able to grab some extra steals in that zone. He basically plays the entire game, and will have multiple opportunities to add to the box score. The total on this game isn't all that attractive, but Syracuse guys are in a good spot here and I like Richardson the most.
Value: Steve Vasturia, Notre Dame ($5,000)
Notre Dame is another team in a decent spot to put up good numbers being matched up with Stephen F. Austin. Vasturia is making this article for the second time in a row because his price only moved up to 5000 on Fanduel. I mentioned last article that Vasturia is a high 5K player, so this price is a huge discount. Stephen F Austin offers up a strong defensive press, but Vasturia is one of the few guards Notre Dame will need to rely on heavily here. If Notre Dame can constantly break the press, there may be quite a few easy layups or open looks for Vasturia. Again. this price is simply still too cheap.
CBB DFS Forwards to Target on FanDuel
Top Play: Isaiah Miles, Oregon ($8,500)
Miles proved to be in his last game that he is virtually match-up proof. Cincinnati is a handful inside and plays very slow, yet he turned out another strong performance. In this game, he is gaining a huge tempo boost from the previous one, and I expect him to be able to put up another good stat line here. At this point in the season, there aren't many players that are priced properly or even a bit cheaper than they should, but Miles price only saw a 200 increase despite him playing well once again. Oregon has some talented bigs, but as mentioned, I believe Miles is match-up proof at this point. For the price, he is one of the most consistent guys on this slate.
Mid Tier: Daniel House, Texas AM ($6,700)
House is playing his best ball of the season, and it's certainly the right time. He had another solid performance on Thursday and his price only saw a 200 increase. This game will be much slower in pace than the last one, but expect to be much closer. This should mean that House should play big minutes, and have extra opportunities to score. Northern Iowa plays great defense and very slow, but again they don't play teams with the talent of House, and I like him to continue to produce as he has been doing.
Value: Jordon Bell, Oregon ($5,200)
Basically anyone from Oregon is in play here. Brooks, Cook, Dorsey, are all solid plays. I'm looking for cheap forwards on this slate though, and not finding many. I land on Bell here because if you watched CBB last year, you knew the talent he had. He is beginning to show it once again lately. Though he still doesn't start he is a big body that expects to be needed inside with the bigs of St. Joes. He provides nice block and rebound upside, and has been a bit more aggressive recently. This game's pace will be insane and you'll want guys on both sides of the ball here.
