Mike Evans Back At Practice On Thursday
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) was back at practice running routes for quarterback Tom Brady on Thursday, suggesting that he has been activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. However, he looks to be fatigued easily in his return. Evans tweaked his hamstring in Week 15 and was inactive in last week's easy win over the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old will likely be limited on the official practice report on Thursday, and he's not a lock to play in Week 17 against the New York Jets just because he's off the COVID list. If he returns this Sunday, Evans would be more of a shaky WR2 in danger of seeing his snaps limited as he works to get his conditioning back. Antonio Brown was Brady's unquestioned top target in his return last week and will be a WR1 in a juicy matchup in Week 17, regardless of whether Evans returns.
