Still No Clyde Edwards-Helaire At Practice Thursday
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) was absent from practice for the second straight day on Thursday, as expected. As Arrowhead Pride's Pete Sweeney mentioned in his Tweet, it looks like it'll be the Darrel Williams/Derrick Gore show this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals aren't an easy defense to run against -- they allow the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game (92.1) -- but the volume that Williams should see in Edwards-Helaire's likely absence on Sunday (both in the passing and running game) should make him a high-end RB2 for fantasy managers. Edwards-Helaire could give himself a shot to play in Week 17 if he returns to practice on Friday, but his fantasy managers shouldn't be counting on him in their championship matchups.
