Dan Campbell To Finish The Season As The Play-Caller
3 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said that he will continue to call the offensive plays for the final two games of the regular season. Detroit's offense has looked better since Campbell took over the play-calling duties with more input from offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn. "Definitely, I feel like every week I've gotten a lot more comfortable," Campbell stated. The Lions lost another game to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but despite having to use backup quarterback Tim Boyle with Jared Goff on the COVID-19 list, the Lions offense was respectable with Campbell calling the plays. Detroit could have another decent offensive showing in Week 17 against a Seattle Seahawks defense that has allowed the second-most passing yards per game (270.9) in 2021.
