ANALYSIS: Perennial starter? Check. Large playing-time asset? Double-check. Ruthless shooter contributing in other cats and not missing a single triple? Triple-check. That's Duncan Robinson for you, folks, a staple in Miami's first units and someone to take very seriously in fantasy leagues if only because of his season-long role--and how it has been aided by injuries and protocols-hit players in the Heat roster.
Robinson has seen an uptick in his minutes during the past couple of weeks, going from an average of 28 MPG in the first 26 games of the season to 31 MPG in the past two weeks of play. He's logged 30+ minutes in four of his last seven games in that span, compared to seven such matches in his first 26. Robinson, don't get it wrong, doesn't take that much advantage of those extra ticks. He's what he is: a deadly shooter with some rebounding upside and non-existent turnovers.
Robinson is attempting 10.3 FGA a day, though he's a bit bouncy with outings into the 15+ realm and others falling below 8 attempts. Of course, the shooting percentage isn't quite high because his shots come often from beyond the three-point line and that makes things tougher for him. He's at 37.6% from the field, but he's also shooting nearly 82% of his shots from long-range distances while making 2.8 3PM per game. Nobody in the league is averaging 10+ FGA per game of which that high percentage comes from three-point territory.
