Jason Peters Won't Play Against Vikings
3 years agoChicago Bears left tackle Jason Peters (ankle) has been ruled out for the Monday night game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. The Vikings also ruled out cornerback Xavier Crawford (concussion). With Peters out, second-round rookie Teven Jenkins is on track to make his first NFL start on rookie quarterback Justin Fields' blind side against Minnesota. Jenkins played in the last two games after he missed the first 11 games of his rookie season due to offseason back surgery. "We'll be able to help him out when we need to, and his mindset will be great," head coach Matt Nagy said of Jenkins. Fields' protection will be something to watch in this matchup on Monday night.
