BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 42% of leagues
ANALYSIS: It's been 11 straight starts for Tyus Jones at the Grizzlies point guard slot. Perks of playing for a team with an injured starter (Ja Morant) at the position that is now also hitting the COVID protocols (entered last Wednesday). Jones has been able to dodge the pandemic bullet, keeps manning plays with gusto for Memphis, and that shouldn't change at least until next weekend so make sure to grab some shares of TJ in the meantime.
Barring a couple of 21 and 24-minute outings in the past 11 games (spanning back to Nov. 28), Jones has played 31+ minutes in all other 9 matches he's started off late. His numbers have also grown with that playing time (obviously) but he's truly looked better by the day even though his usage rate and opportunities haven't changed that much. Jones started this first-unit run with an average per-game line of 9-4-7-1 on 30 MPG and attempting 8.6 FGA a day, but he's now putting up nightly 13-4-4-1 outcomes on slightly higher volume numbers (31 MPG and 10.6 FGA). The usage hasn't changed, going from 15.1% in the first six starts to 16.5% in the last five.
Jones' upside is obviously limited and tied to Morant's comeback in a few days. He merits and addition in most leagues until Ja is back, and also a roster spot in deeper formats with the league getting hit hard by COVID positives and Jones lone possession of the backup-PG role in Memphis. When he was a reserve for the team (Oct. 20 to Nov. 26) Jones was putting up averages of 6-2-3. His shooting is fantastic with a 47 FG% on the year to go with a 42 3P% and an 89 FT% so far. Low 0.8 TOV per game, too, in case you can benefit from that in large-cat leagues.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
