ANALYSIS: With Ja Morant banged up and on the shelf, all Memphis could do was trust oft-reserve Tyus Jones and throw him into the starting lineup if only until Ja is back. That's yet to happen, though, so Jones should keep manning the point nightly at least for a few days (Morant isn't expected back earlier than next Friday). And hey, it's not that Jones is disappointing fantasy GMs at the very least if you ask me.
Tyus has started all games since Nov. 28 (seven of them) and has logged a bulky 31 MPG in that span. Jones has taken advantage of that new role finishing those seven games--through Thursday--with an average line of 9-4-7. That's some nice all-across-the-board contribution nightly, and he's been good for a sweet 1.6 SPG in that span with at least 2 thefts in all but two of his seven games as a starter.
While Tyus has turned the ball over at least once in all but one of his starts, the truth is that his dimes have been absolutely high to make up for that at 7.3 APG. The combination of dimes, steals, and high shooting (43.4 FG% and FT%) percentages in the past five games have put Tyus in a prime WW-target position for Week 9 of games. He will get back to the pine the minute Ja is back, obviously, but until then he's as good a player to roster/start as anyone out there.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
