Optimism Surrounding Sterling Shepard
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) was practicing for the second straight day on Thursday, and there is optimism surrounding his status for Week 14 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Shepard has been a big part of the offense in the five games he's played, catching 32 of 43 targets for 324 yards and one touchdown, but the problem is he hasn't been on the field since injuring his quad in Week 8. He'll be a risky WR4/flex in deeper leagues if he makes his return this Sunday against a solid LA secondary and will be at risk of having his snaps monitored. On top of it, backup quarterback Mike Glennon (concussion) is expected to make his second straight start for the injured Daniel Jones (neck).
