Daniel Jones Not Expected To Go On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe New York Giants are not expected to place quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) on short-term Injured Reserve as they figure out how to manage his neck strain. Jones will not play in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins, but the Giants will keep him available week-to-week as of now. The 24-year-old hasn't been cleared for contact yet, and the team doesn't know when that will happen, so there's a chance he sits out in Week 14 as well. The good news is that the Giants don't think Jones' injury is season-ending. With Mike Glennon in line to start against an aggressive Dolphins defense on Sunday, fantasy managers should downgrade the likes of Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton and Evan Engram. Running back Saquon Barkley probably won't have as many chances to score, either, and will likely face loaded boxes as Miami dares Glennon to beat them with his arm.
