Jack Doyle Receives Questionable Tag
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle (knee) practiced in full on Friday, but he still received a questionable tag for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. We'd be pretty surprised if Doyle isn't active this weekend. Despite increased usage in recent weeks -- 12 catches on 17 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown the last three weeks -- Doyle should be considered a touchdown-dependent TE2 in a game in which the Colts probably won't need to throw the ball all that much. The Colts were forced to throw more the last two games while chasing points against the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Texans allow the sixth-most fantasy points per game to TEs this year, but Doyle has too low of a floor if he doesn't find the end zone. He has only two games over 50 receiving yards in 2021 and continues to lose targets to Mo Alie-Cox and rookie Kylen Granson.
