Justin Fields Will Practice Wednesday
3 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy said that rookie quarterback Justin Fields (ribs) will practice on Wednesday. Fields suffered cracked ribs in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and was held out on a short week for the Thanksgiving game last Thursday against the Detroit Lions. The 22-year-old will be limited on Wednesday, but it's a good sign that he'll only miss the one game. Unless he suffers a setback later this week, Fields should take over the starting duties from veteran Andy Dalton. In 10 games (eight starts), Fields hasn't been great in his rookie season with a 58.1 completion percentage, four touchdowns and eight interceptions. He's added two rushing touchdowns. Against an Arizona Cardinals defense coming off their bye, Fields will be a low-end QB2 if he returns.
