Lions Planning To Start Jared Goff On Thanksgiving
3 years agoThe Detroit Lions are planning on starting quarterback Jared Goff (oblique) on Thursday against the Chicago Bears to kick off the Thanksgiving games, according to sources. Goff was listed as questionable on the final Week 12 injury report, but the Lions were optimistic all along that he'd be able to play after a one-game absence. Perhaps Detroit would've given Tim Boyle another start if he had played better in the Week 11 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Goff doesn't have many weapons to work with in Detroit, so he's been predictably below average under center in fantasy with 2,109 passing yards, eight touchdowns and six interceptions in nine games played. Goff was a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers when fully healthy, so you can do the math here.
