Optimism Surrounding Rashan Gary's Injury
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers linebacker Rashan Gary (elbow) will have an MRI exam on Monday for his hyperextended elbow, but initial indications are that he avoided a break or ligament damage, according to a source. There is some optimism on Gary's injury after the 17-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. The 23-year-old's injury had the look of being a potentially serious one, so it's good news that he might avoid missing a long period of time. Gary has been an emerging young player for a Green Bay defense that was very impressive against a rusty Russell Wilson on Sunday. Coming into the game against Seattle, Gary had 28 tackles (13 solo), a forced fumble and 4.5 sacks in nine games.
