Justin Jackson Doubtful To Play On Sunday
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson (quadriceps) missed practice all week and is doubtful to play in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. Jackson suffered his quad injury in Week 8 and was inactive for the Week 9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. With Jackson out last weekend, Joshua Kelley and rookie Larry Rountree III combined for four rushing attempts for seven yards and one catch for four yards. Unless Ekeler gets dinged up, he will continue to see the lion's share of backfield touches for this Bolts offense. And if he were to ever miss time due to an injury, the Chargers would likely split the touches between Kelly, Rountree and Jackson. Through eight games, Rountree has the most carries (29) on the team behind Ekeler, for what it's worth, but Jackson has more rushing yards (101) on fewer carries (13).
