Odell Beckham Jr. Can Make Up To $4.25 Million
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams officially signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $4.25 million on Thursday, according to a source. He'll receive a $500,000 signing bonus and $750,000 for the rest of the season. Beckham will have another $3 million available in team-based incentives for how they finish the regular season and the postseason. The 29-year-old moves from a low-volume passing attack in Cleveland to the high-flying Rams passing offense led by quarterback Matthew Stafford. There will be plenty of competition for targets, though, among Cooper Kupp -- leads the NFL in yards (1,019), receptions (74), targets (103) and touchdowns (10) -- Robert Woods and Van Jefferson. OBJ could take over Jefferson's role as the No. 3 receiver, but it remains to be seen how quickly he'll learn the offense and contribute. The Rams face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night in Week 10. Beckham was dropped in a lot of leagues after his poor performances in Cleveland before his release, but he's worth picking up off waivers now that he's landed in one of the best offenses in football.
