Zach Wilson Expected To Return To Practice This Week
3 years agoNew York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) is expected to return to practice this week, but backup Mike White (forearm) could get another start in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills while Wilson works to get back to 100% health. The first-rounder suffered a PCL sprain in Week 7 that carried a two- to four-week timetable for a return. The Jets won't rush him back, and he could even benefit from watching and learning while his knee heals up. White lasted just two offensive series last Thursday night in the loss to the Indianapolis Colts due to a right forearm injury, but he's expected to be fine and would be in line for his third NFL start against Buffalo in Week 10 if Wilson isn't ready. Despite throwing for over 400 yards in his first start two weeks ago, White would be a low-end desperation QB2 against Buffalo's strong defense.
