Tyrod Taylor Named The Starter For Week 9
3 years agoThe Houston Texans have named quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) as their starter for the Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins. Taylor won his only start of the season back in Week 1 over the Jacksonville Jaguars and was leading the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 before he suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain and landed on Injured Reserve. Rookie Davis Mills was about as bad as one would expect after being thrown in the fire too soon, so this development is good news for the entire Texans offense. The 32-year-old was 21-for-33 for 291 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the season opener and will be on the QB2 map in leagues that allow two starting QBs in starting lineups. The Dolphins D has also allowed the third-most fantasy points per game this year to opposing signal-callers.
