Danielle Hunter Done For The Season
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer confirmed on Monday that pass-rusher Danielle Hunter (pectoral) will miss the rest of the 2021 season after suffering a torn pectoral in the Sunday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8. Hunter entered Week 8 as the team's leader in sacks with six, and he also recorded 38 tackles as a top-15 defensive lineman in IDP fantasy leagues. Losing the 27-year-old defensive end will be a big blow to a defense that just allowed over 400 yards of total offense to a Cowboys offense led by backup quarterback Cooper Rush on Sunday night. Everson Griffen will now be the team's best pass-rusher with Hunter out the rest of the way.
