Jameis Winston Dealing With ACL Injury
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston (knee) suffered damage to his ACL in the Week 8 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he might also be dealing with damage to his MCL. The Saints believe that his injury is "significant," and he could be looking at a season-ending injury, depending on what test results reveal on Monday. Winston was brought down on an illegal horse-collar tackle in the first half and never returned to the game. Trevor Siemian filled in on Sunday, but Taysom Hill (concussion), whenever he's able to return from his head injury, should serve as the starting QB if Winston misses extended time or the rest of the season. New Orleans' offense could become even more run-centric with Hill under center in the future.
