J.J. Watt Likely Done For The Season
3 years agoArizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt (shoulder) is now likely to undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder, according to sources. Watt injured his shoulder in the second quarter of the Week 7 win over the Houston Texans but still managed to play the rest of the game. He was ruled out for the Thursday night game against the Green Bay Packers, and it looks like he won't play another down in his first season in Arizona in 2021. The oft-injured five-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro will finish the season with 16 tackles (10 solo), five tackles for loss, 10 QB hits, one forced fumble and one sack in seven games for the Cardinals. The Cardinals defense/special teams has been a top-five fantasy unit through the first seven weeks, but losing Watt the rest of the way is a big blow.
