Rashaad Penny Activated From Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks activated running back Rashaad Penny (calf) from Injured Reserve on Monday, and he will play against the New Orleans Saints. The team also elevated quarterback Jake Luton to the active roster from the practice squad. Penny is worth a flier in deeper leagues for those in need of RB depth, but it remains to be seen how big of a role he'll play alongside Alex Collins, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer with Chris Carson (neck) on IR. The 25-year-old is not expected to be limited at all, but it would make sense for the Seahawks to ease the oft-injured former first-rounder back after he's been out since getting injured in Week 1. Collins is questionable with a groin injury, but he's expected to suit up. The return of Penny will likely lower Collins' RB3/flex ceiling.
