Teddy Bridgewater Expected To Play Against Steelers
3 years agoThe expectation is that Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) will clear the league's concussion protocol and practice in full on Friday, according to a source. Barring a setback in practice on Friday, Bridgewater is expected to be fully cleared to play in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's great news for the Broncos offense overall, as backup Drew Lock looked like his same inconsistent self in the second half of the Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Bridgewater has gone over 300 yards passing just once in four games against mediocre competition, but he has been taking care of the football (five TDs, no interceptions) and is giving what the defense gives him. Against a capable Steelers D on Sunday, Bridgewater will be a low-end QB2 if he gets cleared to play.
