Jets Waiving Sheldrick Redwine
3 years agoThe New York Jets are waiving safety Sheldrick Redwine on Tuesday, according to a source. Redwine was waived by the Cleveland Browns late last month before latching on with the Jets for the first two weeks of the season. He played in 33 percent of the defensive snaps in the Week 1 loss to the Carolina Panthers before not playing a single snap in the Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots. In 15 games (three starts) in Cleveland in 2020, the 24-year-old totaled 27 tackles (19 solo), one interception, one pass defensed and half a sack. Redwine will look to latch on elsewhere as secondary depth.
