Harrison Smith Wants To Remain In Minnesota
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith, who saw his streak of five straight Pro Bowl appearances end last year, is entering the final year of a contract he signed back in 2016. Smith said that he would like to sign a contract extension that would keep him in Minnesota for several more years. "I don't have a solid answer for you, but obviously I've been here going on 10 [seasons] and would love to be here in the future," Smith said. "Going to look at those things and see what we can do. That's about it right now." Despite not making the Pro Bowl in 2020, Smith remains one of the top safeties in the NFL and can cover deep or make a stop near the line of scrimmage in run defense. The 32-year-old should remain an IDP option in deeper formats this year.
