Rays Optimistic On Tyler Glasnow's Recovery
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash said that he is feeling optimistic about starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (elbow) after he met with a doctor, according to Steve Carney of the St. Pete Nine. Cash added that the current plan for Glasnow is to have him shut down from throwing for the next four weeks, and he will also receive treatment during this time for the bones in his elbow that could be contributing to the issue. This is definitely better news for fantasy managers after learning earlier this week that he was diagnosed with a partially torn UCL that could keep him out until late September or early October if the Rays make the playoffs. Managers should keep their expectations low for the time being, but keep checking for updates on his condition and progress through rehab.
