Allen Robinson 2021 Outlook: Primed To Cash In
4 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson has plenty to look forward to in 2021, including a possible huge payday at the end of it. Robinson was franchised in the offseason by the Bears and has been a fantastic addition for them since joining the team in 2018. The 27-year-old enjoyed perhaps his best season as a pro last season, catching a career-high 102 passes on 151 targets for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns. The Bears' offense under Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles was a rollercoaster of ineptitude last season and yet it did not affect Robinson. The veteran receiver racked up nine or more targets in 11 games last year and racked up at least 70 receiving yards in 12 games. The Bears head into this season with veteran quarterback Andy Dalton promised the starting job....that is until they traded up to draft phenom Justin Fields with the 11th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. Dalton could certainly start the season and Robinson should be his number one security blanket in the intermediate passing game. But there will come a time when Fields will get his chance and Robinson's ceiling could rise even higher midway through the season. The future is bright for Robinson's fantasy future, plus his future checkbook, and should slot easily into the top-10 among wide receivers heading into fantasy drafts.
