Cavan Biggio May Meet The Team In Boston
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo said that there's a good chance that infielder/outfielder Cavan Biggio (neck) will meet the team in Boston on Friday for the start of their weekend series. Biggio has been out since May 21 with a cervical spine sprain, and the Blue Jays didn't want to rush him on a short minor league rehab assignment given his struggles to begin the season. The 26-year-old was slashing a disappointing .205/.315/.315 with a .630 OPS, three home runs, 11 RBI, two stolen bases and 14 runs scored in 151 plate appearances before landing on the injured list. Biggio went 1-for-9 with a solo home run and two strikeouts over two rehab games, and fantasy managers that have hung onto him will be hoping that better production will come with better health.
