Trayveon Williams 2021 Outlook: Just Roster Depth
4 years agoAfter playing literally seven snaps as a rookie, Trayveon Williams' role was expected to grow a bit in his sophomore season. That proved to be the case, but only because of Joe Mixon's season ending foot injury. Prior to Mixon going down, Williams wasn't active for a single game as the Bengals opted to go with Giovani Bernard and Samaje Perine behind Mixon. With Bernard gone, Williams should slot in third and at least be active on Sundays - that is - if he can hold off rookie Chris Evans. Regardless, Williams will need an injury to Mixon or Perine to even carve out a somewhat relevant role and will likely need injuries to both in order to be someone worth rostering in fantasy leagues. Williams is barely even a deep dynasty stash at this point.
