4 years agoThe Denver Broncos agreed to terms with first-round cornerback Patrick Surtain II on Tuesday, according to a source. Denver passed on a quarterback in the top 10 of the first round of last month's draft, instead choosing to bolster their secondary with Surtain. The Alabama product has a chance to make the Broncos secondary one of the very best moving forward, and they'll need it in order to slow down the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. Surtain has excellent athleticism and won't shy away from playing press coverage against opposing wide receivers. He'll need to improve his tackling, though, since he lacks top-end speed. But Surtain has great instincts and should play a lot of man coverage when he's ready.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
