Max Fried Takes Hard-Luck Loss
4 years agoAtlanta Braves pitcher Max Fried allowed just two hits and one run over six innings of work during the club's 4-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. The young southpaw also kept the dangerous Jays lineup from leaving the yard — something they did twice against the bullpen — but he struggled with his control and walked three batters. Since being activated off the injured list, Fried has made two starts and allowed just six hits and two runs in 11 innings of work. He also has a 10-4 K-BB during that stretch. Overall, his ERA sits at an unsightly 6.55 for the year through five starts. Now that he appears to be over his hamstring issue, Fried is a must-have hurler in all fantasy formats given his past success and remaining upside.
