Dansby Swanson Has Two Hits In Loss
4 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson continued his inconsistent play on Friday during the club's 12-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The middle infielder went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. He also drove in the only two runs of the game for Atlanta. However, Swanson is hitting just .216 with an ugly BB-K of 9-37 in 32 games this season. Recently, his hits have been coming in bunches sandwiched between cold stretches. Over his last 13 games, Swanson has five multi-hit games and seven hitless games. Until he finds more consistency, the 27-year-old cannot be trusted with regular playing time unless it's a home game (126 vs 36 wRC+ on the road).
