Dane Dunning Doomed By Rough First Inning
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Dane Dunning had his second straight rough outing when he allowed four runs in the first inning of the club's 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday. The young right-hander allowed six hits but just one walk and struck out six batters. He also pitched shutout baseball after struggling in the first inning. In his previous outing against the Chicago White Sox on Apr. 23, Dunning allowed five runs in the third inning so he's recently been doomed by big innings. In just his second MLB season, he's expected to hit speed bumps along the way and has the stuff to rebound from this rough patch. Don't give up on him.
