4 years agoSources are saying that the San Francisco 49ers are down to two prospects -- Alabama quarterback Mac Jones and North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance -- as they close in on their decision of which signal-caller to take at No. 3 overall in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday. Several sources say the focus appears to have shifted to those two, with the other QB in play being Ohio State's Justin Fields. The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to take Clemson's Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 overall, while the New York Jets will likely select BYU's Zach Wilson. The Niners traded up to No. 3 overall with the Miami Dolphins just a few weeks ago, and the belief is that Jones is their guy. The fit with offensive mastermind Kyle Shanahan would be great news for Jones' long-term fantasy value.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
