Chiefs Trade First-Round Pick For Orlando Brown
4 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs are trading their first-round pick (No. 31 overall) in next week's NFL draft on Thursday and three other picks in this year's and next year's draft to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl offensive tackle Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, according to sources. Brown requested a trade from Baltimore because he wants to play left tackle and is currently blocked by Ronnie Stanley. The Chiefs had an opening at the left tackle spot after long-time left tackle Eric Fisher was cut earlier in the offseason, as well as right tackle Mitchell Schwartz. With Fisher and Schwartz unavailable in last year's Super Bowl due to injuries, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive line essentially won the game by continuously pressuring quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Brown should help solidify Mahomes' blind side.
