Darius Clark Signs With Panthers
4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers signed free-agent running back Darius Clark to an undisclosed deal on Thursday. The undrafted free agent was a standout at the HUB football camp earlier this month and caught the eye of offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who was among the coaching personnel in attendance for Clark's workout. Clark attended Newberry College and had 384 rushing yards, 264 receiving yards and 397 yards on kick returns. The signing could foreshadow the loss of Mike Davis, who is an unrestricted free agent after finishing last year tied for the best missed-tackle rate per touch since 2019. Clark joins a backfield that includes Christian McCaffrey, Trenton Cannon, Reggie Bonnafon and Rodney Smith.
