Henry Anderson Receives Two-Year Deal From Patriots
4 years agoThe New England Patriots agreed to terms with former New York Jets defensive lineman Henry Anderson on a two-year deal worth $7 million on Monday, according to a source. The contract has a maximum value of $11 million based on achievable playing-time incentives. The six-year veteran was the fourth defensive line signing on Monday, including Davon Godchaux, Deatrich Wise and Carl Davis. Anderson had a career-high seven sacks in 2018 but saw his production decline the last two seasons in New York after signing an extension. He's a good fit for New England's defensive scheme, where he will almost certainly be moved around the defensive line to create mismatches. The 29-year-old has the size and strength to be successful in the trenches.
