4 years agoLeft-hander Tommy Milone signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday that included an invitation to spring training. The move gives Toronto some veteran starting depth or a possible long-man for the bullpen. The club also recently signed fellow southpaw Francisco Liriano. Milone hasn't been fantasy relevant for some time although he did pitch OK last season for the Baltimore Orioles (3.91 FIP, 24 K%) before melting down after a move to the Atlanta Braves (7.33 FIP, 17 K%). Overall, his walk rate of 3% was one of the best rates in the league but he allowed nine home runs in just 39 innings. He's predominantly a fastball-changeup pitcher.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
