4 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates are acquiring center fielder Hudson Head and catching prospect Endy Rodriguez on Monday in a three-team deal also involving the San Diego Padres and New York Mets. Head, a 19-year-old center fielder in the Padres organization, was San Diego's No. 7 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. The left-handed hitter still has plenty of time to develop, but he could have above-average tools across the board. Head has plus speed and a strong arm, which should allow him to remain in center field in the future. Rodriguez, a switch-hitting 20-year-old who can also play a corner outfield spot, was ranked as the Mets' No. 14 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. His bat will be even more valuable for fantasy managers in the future if he can develop and stick behind the dish for Pittsburgh.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
