Blue Jays, Mets The Likeliest Trade Partners For Francisco Lindor
4 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets are the likeliest trade partners for Cleveland shortstop Francisco Lindor. The Blue Jays, Mets, Giants and Twins appear willing to spend, but it will be difficult to find a match like the Dodgers were for outfielder Mookie Betts last year. Plus, there are solid free-agent shortstops available this year in Marcus Semien, Didi Gregorius and Andrelton Simmons, not to mention Lindor, Javier Baez, Carlos Correa, Corey Seager and Trevor Story after the 2021 season. The Blue Jays and Mets look like the best matches because their focus in free agency is on other positions. Toronto and New York could sell Lindor on a long-term extension. Either way, the 27-year-old is one of the elite fantasy shortstops because of his power and speed combination.
